"Bean Rock Community was on the south side of the Tennessee River where the Paint Rock River feeds the Tennessee on the north side. It once consisted of a trading post, a post office and a hotel. This information was provided by a life long resident Mr. Lindsay. His family owned the land in Bean Rock Hollow in recent years. There is a brick house standing there now which serves as the Parches Cove Hunting Club meeting place. Mr Lindsay stated his information was told to him verbally, by the old timers from the area. He said a cyclone blew the community away and it was never rebuilt." (Submitted Jan. 26, 2012)
