Share your comments and photos of Bacon Island, a Island in Hancock County, ME
"This island is privately owned. No facilities. Beware of a submerged rock chain that extends 0.25 miles off the west side of the island. The last rock in the chain is often visible. In high water years the rock is marked by a buoy. These rocks (locally called the Devil's Necklace) have claimed many motors over the years." (Submitted Jul. 11, 2009)
