"in 1954-1955 I live about a mile or so up river (west) at the black Diamond mine camp in an old bus that is still there. I went to school at browns crossing. My mother and grand mother were instrumental in starting the school. It is a beautiful place. Jay Combs" (Submitted Apr. 10, 2016)
